  1. I finished this painting for my good friend Kaleb White just before I left for India. I love Kaleb, and it has been an honor to be his friend and see the Lord grow him into a man. The Lord gave me these images for him to be a reminder of who he is.

    “that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.” Isaiah 61:3

    “And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lighting from heaven. Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10.18-20

    It’s about good things coming from painful places.
